Art in Life
My inspiration comes from witnessing animals in moments.
Paul’s inspiration comes from observing animals in the wild. The light reflecting in the gaze of a horse, the pose of a lioness as she lay beside her cubs, the heated breath of a bison on a brisk morning. These moments are filled with energy and emotion that Paul has made his mission to capture and share with the world.
Paul is a classically trained artist across many mediums. He has toured over 225 shows in nine states and three countries. Paul has taken home many prestigious awards including 7 “Best of Shows” and 7 “People’s Choice” at the Phippen Western Art Show and many more. Paul’s artwork has been displayed in art galleries in Florida, Arizona, and Utah. His works are collected around the world.
In 2015 Paul published The First Book of Scratchboard—a step-by-step guide for scratchboard. Teaching art is something that comes naturally to Paul. He has taught hundreds of kids and adults in numerous schools and organizations. In 2017, Paul created a comprehensive learning program that includes a scratchboard kit with materials, a printed guide, and a series of educational videos.
Paul continues to produce amazing illustrations of wild animals, endearing pet portraits, and educational content. Currently, Paul is focused on promoting art education and is the Vice President of the Treasures for Teachers non-profit organization.
