Long Island summer fun

September 5th, 2011

Amazing weekend, prior to the hurricane. We even experienced an earthquake. Chuck and Michelle hosted the best event ever.

Upon our return this past Tuesday a Desert Tortoise showed up in our back yard. We are looking into the care and feeding of our house guest.

Searching for a name, as it is a she. Considering a blog, it might be another adventure.

Updated website –

April 16th, 2011

I have know aligned myself with Mustangs of America Foundation as posted on my site in the About Paul page. There are 3 additions in the southwest section and have added a Collectors button. Summer is a slow time for shows in Tucson, so I am looking to find other venues. Just finishing a Bobcat – Very great.

Have I mentioned that I love Tucson and the Southwest! Making new friends and enjoying the weather.

2011 Tucson Rodeo

March 3rd, 2011

Wind, rain dust and snow, great time had by all. 6 days as a vendor /artist with attendance of 8 to 9,000 people per day.

Completed a quarter horse named Eastwood and will forward soon. Great Mexican food, boot-makers and lots of hats to choose from.

Attached is a photo of one of the horses in the corral, perhaps a subject in the future.

2011 – Best Year Yet

January 22nd, 2011

Just showed at Continental Plaza in Green Vally. 4 day show with good attendance and know doing a scratchboard of a handsome dog.

Signed up for the Tucson Rodeo to be a vendor in a nine day show. It is time to break out the boots and have some fun. I will be practicing my art throughout my time there. Just met a photographer who has a photo of a bobcat on a cactus staring down looking directly at the camera, Wow.

Life is great!

In Desert Artisan’s Gallery www.desertartisans.com and doing well.

Re designed web site, this is huge. www.joshwhitedesign.com

Did 6 juried shows,  learned a lot and have a following.

Produced 10 new scratchboards and 2 commissioned pet portraits.

Established 4 Arizona suppliers that reflect the originality and authenticity of my works.

Saddlebrook Show

Sedona – 10/2010

October 6th, 2010

Good show, great venue. Saturday morning driving north to Sedona, I watched the 4 hot air balloons rise, people pulled over on the side of the road sitting on the roof of their cars watching the sun come up over the mountains. I had one of the most active displays, starting my next subject, a whitetail deer, playing Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Lee Hooker CD’s.
